Responsibility at Hay Park School

It's our first week back after a lovely two week holiday. Williams Class have been thinking carefully about what they can do to show our school value of: RESPONSIBILITY.

We successfully worked collaboratively to create this google slideshow. Each slide explains what we can do a Hay Park to be a responsible learner. There are several different settings that we have covered in our slideshow.

Matariki is Coming!

Did you know a special time of year is approaching in New Zealand? It is called Matariki!

In Williams Class we started our learning off by creating a KWL chart. You can check these out on our individual blogs by clicking the names over here ---------------->

We also created some diamante poems about the seven sisters of matariki. Here a few of the fabulous poems that students in Williams Class wrote.

On the second to last day of term we also had a special matariki celebration and cultural day. Here are some of Williams Class dressed in their cultural clothes. They look pretty spectacular!
