School's been back for just over 2 weeks and we have hit the ground running! We've been getting to know our new classmates, learning about the Treaty of Waitangi and creating our own class treaty, learning how to use our chromebooks and navigate our class site and we even presented an assembly!
Our class name for 2020 is Tuffery Class. We are named after the NZ artist Michel Tuffery. We like the range of detail, patterns and colours that he uses in his artworks. Each time you look at one of his artworks you will notice something different. Tuffery’s artworks are influenced by his Samoan, Rarotongan and Tahitian background. The work he creates is driven by his passion for the Pacific region, its people and the environment. We’re looking forward to creating our own artwork using Tuffery’s art as inspiration.
