You may be wondering where the names "Williams Class" came from! Hay Park School has a long standing tradition where the classes are named after NZ artists.
This year, the children in Room 6 had 3 fantastic artists to choose from.
1. Tracey Tawhiao
2. Charles & Janine Williams
3. Blake Beckford
Room 6 discussed their likes and dislikes about each artwork, before voting on their favourite artist and works.
Our winner, with the majority of votes was Charles and Janine Williams! and that's how Room 6 came to be "Williams Class".

I came across your blog through the Ako Hiko Education Website and wanted to say AMAZING WORK guys and girls did with the Williams, Taiwhaio and Beckford artwork,but my favorite one was Beckfords one because I love illusion looking thing or anything 3d. I hope you guys do more of this and good choice for you name.

ReplyDeleteHello my name is Raymond and i'm from Wesley Intermediate. firstly I would like to say "PHENOMENAL" work and great debating. Secondly I liked how you guys were debating about who's artist is better and how you guys described what each artist does differently and that is a smart and great idea. But I would rather like Beckford cause i like how he he does his art like using 3D shapes and using a mixture of co lours in his art. But just wanted to say Nice name and you are so grateful to have a fantastic teacher.
